Despite needing some set-up to work and getting used to the tank controls, Omikron is a game that very much holds up nearly 30 years later. Some navigation elements could be improved and the levels could be more intuitive to navigate, but the environments, the style, the sounds, the music, and the complicated plot are a worthwhile experience. Being developed throughout the late 90s, it is a very impressive game to this day. It is best to get into knowing nothing about it, let everything take you by surprise.

I like the premise, the immersion in the world, and david bowie music but my lord these controls made me wanna cry (and die inside) I don't know how this feels more awkward to move in third person shooter when im so bad at controlling in games like Dino Crisis, Resident Evil, etc. I wish this game got an overhaul of some sort, I had an awful time with the controls and I could not read the font for the life of me
