However, I remember that the Dreamcast version didn't have an animated cloudy sky. And didn't have an option to set the clipping distance of the fog, so the fog was somewhat close, making Omikron look quite foggy.
I remember I couldn't manually drive the sliders around the city in the Dreamcast version, and the sliders could only be used like taxi cabs for getting to specific destinations.
Other than those things, I think the Dreamcast version was the same as the PC version.
Yes, manual driving is gone. What I vividly remember is how the annoying "woaaaaaaaaaaaaah" sound effect whenever you interact with something is removed and the victory track after beating Astaroth has its beginning cut off.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the differences between the endings. I do remember that when I won the Dreamcast version, I felt the ending was too short and almost anticlimactic. But when I later won the PC version, it had a much more satisfying and cinematic ending.
I think I can understand that. At the time, probably no other video game had a place like that.
The song's beginning is cut but the cutscene itself is there. I beg your pardon for the confusion. In fact they must have done a mighty fine job fitting almost everything into the Dreamcast version.
Dreamcast version though.
was still good for JRPGs like "Skies of Arcadia" though...
