Is it though? The steam page still says "Coming in 2022. A discount for existing Sir, You Are Being Hunted owners will be made available at the time."

You'd think they would have at least provided an update. We're almost in 2024.

I love the idea of the game but the devs are not transparent at all. This is a nostalgic game for me and one that seems forgotten.

Hoping for an update. I always thought this game was close to being really great.

Just needs a little bit of polish (mouse acceleration, audio etc.) and honestly the steam achievements would be a nice addition. The games already set up for some additional challenges, like collecting all the stuffed animals or memorabilia.

Just found this here, it doesn't look good.

Hi everyone, I want to give an informal update, in no official capacity. This is because the development of Sir is legally no longer in our hands.

I can't go into details due to contracts but the story isn't that deep or interesting. A while ago we signed a publishing deal which included an acquisition of Den of Thieves Games. This was great for the development of Sir and we were quite enthusiastic about the future after a rather dry period. However, as you may know, mass layoffs and financial trouble hit the gaming industry and the former DoT team was an unfortunate casualty. The Reinvented IP and contracts lay elsewhere now. ... I'm truly humbled by the enthusiasm of the community and am infinitely grateful for your support despite the unfortunate situation.

What a shame. SYABH is one of my favourite all time games, and a new version would be an instant buy for me.

On the other hand, the original is still wonderful and every now and then a play it.
