Nuclear Throne
Does playing the game at 60fps make the game run faster?
The sale has me wanting to buy and play this game.

But for years, I heard that, when modded, the game (which runs at 30fps by default) runs at like double speed. Which means double the bullet speed and double the enemy aggression.

Has there been any fix to this? Or is the only choice you have if you want to play 60fps is to deal with way faster bullets in a game that is already notorious for being very difficult?

Probably worth mentioning that you need to switch to one of the beta branches in order to find the framerate options. You can do that from your Library.

Thank you. I vaguely recall a few years back that you had to install a mod called "Nuclear Throne Together" or something like that to get 60fps, and that this mod still resulted in gamespeed being doubled.
You can still get 60fps from the mod. These days, the creator of NTT is doing the development work for the main game as well. The next update has been in the works for a few years, but it will eventually bring the 60fps option to everyone.

I find it incredible that the game managed to achieve such success with only 30 FPS. To me 30 FPS feels unplayable.

To me, 60fps makes it look like the game was made in flash player. The animations just don't match the gameplay very well at that speed.
