I have some amazing news!

I was recently awarded a grant to begin development on my next game! It funds the creation of a prototype, which is currently underway!

Unlike the development of Ex Vitro and Mycocosm, I want the development of this next game to be far more open and transparent, and I want to get as much feedback as early as I can. So over the next few months, I’ll be dropping concept art, blog posts, and other tidbits about the game as it takes shape. And once the prototype is in a playable state, I’ll start inviting players to try it out!

My plan for the new game is to double down on the parts of Ex Vitro that people seemed to like, and fix/improve the stuff that people didn’t. Also, I have a few gameplay hooks in mind that I hope will make the game stand out in the Metroidvania crowd...

I’m positive that one of the main reasons I even got the grant was because of the positivity and support I received from you guys here on Steam, so I can’t thank you enough for giving me a chance! This next game will be dedicated to everyone who left a comment, wrote a review, or simply played something I made (whether it was for one minute or three hundred!).

Some thoughts and constructive criticism

Finished Ex Vitro today, and thought I'd post some of the thoughts and issues I had with the game. Played it on a Steam Deck, so some of the feedback will be deck-specific. The pause-screen map is far too small. You could easily blow it up x2 without changing anything but the frame asset. Otherwise I kept having to use Deck's magnifier feature. The map animation that plays every time you pause is neat, but gets annoying very quickly, especially in areas where minimap isn't available. Cle...

Second ending requirements?

I've been trying to reach the second ending for a while after getting it once. From what I remember, I took less than an hour, and 75% items. That's kind of it, really, no idea how to get there again, I've ended up being just slower than an hour and with an average of 90% items, on my most recent run as of this post. Am I doing something wrong, please tell me it not just avoiding the pressure plate in the welcome room at the surface, I don't know why it would be that, though....
