How to play in fullscreen?

for some reason when I launched game now it is windowed, I dont uderstand why there is not an option in settings to changa to fullscreen. how to fic this?

It got bugged after the update today. Everyone is suffering from this. There is no fix, we just gotta wait and see if Ubisoft themselves fix it.

this is one of the reasons ive bought console last year, i want to game, not deal with this crap. but this game runs better on my pc, which is a shame :(

PiggyPie, even on consoles you pay for games you don't actually own, Ubisoft is such a guy that says hey at any point we update the game and something happens then it's just our choice not yours, this is why it's sad how game is today.

Same here. Yesterday I bought this game for Rs 599 and today I downloaded it and started facing this error. The game is launching in a windowed mode instead of launching in fullscreen mode. Don't know how to fix. Even adding Fullscreen=1 in Assassin4.ini does not work

In order to Rollback to yesterdays Version

Step 1: Open Steam

Step 1.5: Disable Family View

Step 2: Hit the Win + R buttons to bring up the Run program. Type in the following string of text and hit enter: steam://open/console

This will open Steam's Console Tab to initiate commands.

Step 3: Enter this command into the console:
download_depot 242050 242051 3354434867057522588

The Download will be found in:
\Steam\steamapps\content\app_242050\depot_242051

Step 4: Disable automatic updates for the game

Step 5: Backup the AC4 Folder then Replace it with the depot_242051 contents.

As an alternative for those who have acquired it through Ubi$oft's launcher/store, you can always open a file case for their supoport to plague the living hell out of them due to having inserted controlled obsolesnce into their product and you didn't agreed upon that when buying it.
