If you could, could you answer a few questions for me?
1) Is Steam Cloud enabled for your Steam account?
2) Did you sign in with a WBPlay account for Shadow of Mordor?
3) How did you close the game before you lost your save (Exit normally, crashed, terminate via Task Manager, etc.)?
4) When you lost your save, did you launch the game through the Steam client or directly via executable/shortcut?
5) What was your completion % in the game when you lost your save?
1) Yes, it is.
2) I'm 16, so wasn't able to.
3) The game crashed, and when I loaded it up again my save wasn't there.
4) When it crashed, I launched it again through Steam.
5) I don't know the specific completion, but I got to the part where you kill the Hammer of Sauron. (about 20%-ish).

check cloud_log.txt and cloud_log.previous.txt files in folder
...\steam\logs

might be an error msg
to view your saved files in the steam cloud
click on steam help -> steam support -> my account ->data related to account
scroll down to uploaded content section then steam cloud
