Community Idea - A Social Space for Tips, Chats & Farm Invites
Community Lounge Feature Suggestion for Farm Together 2
Idea:
Introduce a Community Lounge—a shared social server where players can take a break from farming and connect with fellow farmers in real time.

Concept Highlights:
- 🛋️ Welcome Lounge / Pit Stop: A cosy, neutral space accessible from any farm. Think of it as a farmer’s café or roadside rest stop.

- 💬 Live Chat & Interaction: Players can chat casually, share tips, ask questions, or just hang out. Perfect for those who want a social breather or need help with game mechanics.

- 🤝 Farm Invites: From the lounge, players can send invites to visit each other’s farms. Great for collaboration, inspiration, or just showing off your rows of veg!

- 🌟 Optional Themes: Seasonal décor, mini-games, or bulletin boards with community challenges could make the space feel alive and ever-changing.

Why It Works:
- Builds a stronger sense of community within the game.
- Encourages idea-sharing and collaboration.
- Adds a social layer without disrupting solo play.
- Makes the game feel more welcoming for new players.

Is this not what the discord is like? :o

I can't say I have ever used Discord for this game. I'd imagine Discord is great for chatting, but I was imagining something in game like a cosy lounge or pit stop you can walk into with your character. A space where you can take a break from farming, see other players hanging out, and maybe even invite them back to your farm directly. More like a social hub built into the game itself, so even players who don’t use Discord can connect casually while playing.
the idea is nice, but the big problem with that is it would need some kind of centralized server hosted world, which costs a bunch of money to maintain and the team is super small.
If there was already server hosted farms then it might not be that big of a stretch, but that's not the case so I doubt they'd do something like this.

as for discord, you should stop by. there are quite a few players who go there either during playtime or outside of it, give advice, ask for info, share their farm code, suggest ideas and so on :)
Perhaps interested players could build like little lounges or cafes or pit stops areas on their farm. ^D^ That could be a next best thing, especially if there are players that host a "dedicated server" for it. since it does seem like having to pay for a real dedicated server may be outside of the dev team's budget... I have seen some beautiful loungey areas on some of the farms I've visited, if that helps. ^_^ It may be most effective if paired with a farm name like Welcome Lounge or something similarly descriptive so that players will know it when they see it. ^_^ Perhaps advertising or collaborating here in the Discussions could help players learn of its existence. :D

That makes sense! I figured it would be a bit of a stretch, such a shame. I feel it would bring something more to the game other than grind grind grind.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check out the discord group. :D

Yes this is a great little idea :) I find that people join my farm and leave immediately though hahaha! (not that I have any lounge areas set up for them yet lol)
Lol, yes sometimes players leave shortly after joining a farm. ^_^; There can be various reasons for this, such as unstable connectivity, the visitor only likes long rows or doesn't like long rows, the visitor may be looking for immediate harvestables and didn't see them, the visitor was going to check out your farm while waiting for a friend to come online and then they arrived sooner than expected, or even accidentally joining the wrong farm. ^D^ Some visitors may just want to grind, and that's okay too, though if you put a relaxing area near the bus stop, they may know right away upon joining that your farm is a place where they can relax if they like. ^_^
