A big inspiration for Liberation is a classic but largely unknown (outside the UK) science fiction show from 1978 called "Blake's 7". It was written by Terry Nation (who created the Daleks) and the show runner was Chris Boucher (who wrote some great scifi too). The premise is basically Robin Hood in space. Anyway, it's a really interesting show. I didn't watch it until covid lockdowns and while the production is pretty cheap I do rate it highly. Dunno if I'm just missing something but there seems to be no way to get into the ship? Only holding W or S do anything, when you get to the ship you just walk into an invisible wall.
