One more thing: the store page is still showing 'Not compatible with Catalina'. I think there's a checkbox you (the dev) have to tick to let Steam know you have a 64-bit build.

I tried to update the game to the latest version available from Steam. Then I check the macOS System Report > Applications. The game is still listed as not 64-bit. Not sure if it take time for the update to be propagated correctly to different regions.

@vicker I'll check things out this weekend to make sure the 64-bit version is being downloaded correctly.

@sbszine Thanks for the note about the store page. I've been holding off checking that 64-bit build until I'm more sure that I've got it running correctly. Don't want someone to buy it and then not be able to play for some reason.

Vicker, try uninstalling and reinstalling. That worked for me and it now reports as 64-bit.

@sbszine I shall give it a try. I expect that the saved designs and game progress will preserve, right? My kids saved quite a few things in there.

Best to back them up first just to be sure.

Hey, seeing as you aren't dead do you plan on updating the library artwork?

Do you have a Patreon? The Incredible Machine was my favorite game as a kid, and I want to support anyone that is making that a reality for others. Also, is there any chance to pickup an old game such as Marble Drop?

i have a macbook pro (retina, 13-inch, early2015)
version 10.14.3
when i start the game the screen is black nothing to show
i can't play the game
i tried the update i also tried uninstall and install
and this Contraption Maker [charfix]
nothing happened
can't play the game...
any solution anybody?
