Sonar X3 64 bit with 32 bit plugins
Hello, I recently installed Sonar X3 64 bit to be able to use some plugins that I needed. All the 64bit plugins work fine, but I am having an issue getting the 32 bit plugins to work. They load up and all seems fine.. but when playing back, the audio is extremely choppy and sounds terrible. Almost like if you have your ASIO buffer set too low. My ASIO settings are 48k / 128 buffer. My recording rig is plenty beefy and when using the 32 bit plugins in Sonar X3 32 bit, I have no trouble at all. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

I unfortunately can't install the 64 bit versions of many of the plugins that I have..which is why I'm in this situation. Any help is appreciated.

Whoa, a blast from the past... I wouldn't think anyone would use X3 anymore.

Do you have the Bandlab version or the Platinum version of Sonar installed. Could be that X3 is picking up some of the config files from those for your 32bit plugins?

Also, Didn't X3 have a separate buffer setting for samples? It's been so long since I've used it that I forget, but I think when I did use it, I had to set up buffers for both 32 and 64 bit plugins separately because of the different way they accessed memory and caches.

X3 is perfectly usable still WOW yeah BLAST FROM THE PAST, it already has bridging for 32 plugins in 64x , but yes some of them plugins might work better with 3rd party bridging! ENJOY!
