Food is the most important thing in the first year and one farmer won't support your settlement. It sounds like you're trying to go in too many directions at once. Focus on food and timber. And remember that winter is almost half a year so you need plenty by the end of September because all but berry gathering stops then.
I suggest that for those people who are confused about the mechanics of the game.. you watch Quill18 or a few others.
And don't get discouraged. One of the first game fixes is the ability to play at different levels.
tech then is getting cutstone via the wood or deposits paths dependign on location. and amping up your food income.
ive been working mostly on tech income like i normaly do in 4X games. but you alwasy have to adapt to differnt game so that fine.
but mostly i tihnk i'll need to watch more yourtuber or hit my head agensta brick wall and learn the heard way. ether works as long as i feel ive goten some place.
i still feel the food screen need to be more detailed.
a list of food use and what beign produced woudl be much better. that way you can see what would be availabe.
thanks for the input.
given me much to think about. so thanks again for that.
