This title is very controversial for many reasons, most importantly for being a rushed, almost knockoff of Unrecord to try to steal the hype that it created by releasing much sooner. I believe that to be true, and it also probably hurt the chances of unrecord ever getting multiplayer, However, it is ignorant to say that it isn't an impressive title, even if it is trying to hype steal. The graphics are literally more realistic than any other game out on the market as of right now, honestly I'm a teen, and still couldn't tell if it was real life or a video game in the trailer until looking closer. Yeah, it isn't as realistic looking as Unrecord, but it's damn close. It's also honestly just a fun game, asset flip sure, but I can't lie when it's been a quiet match and you're just creeping around corners on the edge of your seat looking for the last guy, it's EXTREMELY nerve racking and very fun.

Long story short, yes it is basically an overpriced, rushed tech demo, but it is still very impressive and very fun to check out. (but keep in mind it's honestly kind of a scam)

My Review of BODY-CAM

I'll share my honest thoughts on the game BODY-CAM. I'll keep it brief and focus on a few key points.

Lack of Anti-Cheat
One of the biggest issues with BODY-CAM is the complete absence of an anti-cheat system. This is a critical flaw for any online multiplayer game. Without an anti-cheat system, the game is vulnerable to cheaters, which ruins the experience for everyone else. The developers could have either implemented their own anti-cheat measures or partnered with an existing company to provide this essential feature.

Player Models
Another problem is the flexibility in replacing player models. It’s strange that players can simply drop files into the game's folder to change character models. This not only feels unprofessional but also detracts from the immersion. It’s almost comical how easy it is to alter these models.

Server Issues
The game doesn’t have its own dedicated servers. Instead, players rely on hosts, which means the game can abruptly end if the host decides to leave. This lack of stable servers is frustrating and can make the game feel unreliable.

Overall Quality
The game feels like it's still in the alpha phase. The mechanics, movement, and textures are all rough around the edges. Charging $30 for a game in this state is hard to justify. If the game were released for free and then later monetized with cosmetic items or other in-game purchases, it might make more sense. But as it stands, it feels like a cash grab, aiming to make quick money without delivering a polished product.

Conclusion

As someone who has played many games, I can’t recommend spending any money on BODY-CAM ❗ in its current state❗ . It needs significant improvements before it’s worth the price tag.
