Not very realistic anyway- there's a couple of videos on Youtube and it doesn't catch fire once. :-)

You can still get the Class 14, it looks a lot like it initially and is only 3 numbers out... ;-)

In sale only £3.99 - why not?

After their undistinguished and short service careers a couple of Claytons were foisted on Old Dalby test track. Kit Spackman, one of the engineers on the APT, told me about an experience he had when the E-Train (the Gas-Turbine powered Experimental unit) was being tested there. I have related this before in Off Topic but it seems... er... apt.

The E-Train had run its tests and was being towed back to shed by one of the Claytons with Kit riding in the cab when smoke started billowing from one of the bonnets. The driver tutted, "Hold this down will you?" he said meaning the throttle to keep the DSD (the Driver's Safety Device a.k.a. dead man's handle) engaged. Kit obliged and the driver broke out the fire extinguisher, leaned as far out of the window as he could and emptied the extinguisher into the engine air-intake. He then resumed his place at the controls.

"Aren't you going to stop?" asked Kit.

"Pshaw" said the driver or words to that effect, "If I stopped every time this bloody thing caught fire we'd never get anywhere!"

Just looked at the Teddy Bear's store page and there's a note that it is an upgraded Iron Horse model so perhaps there's hope for a Clayton yet.
Would anyone be able to share the file with other ppl if we asked them? Or would it not be allowed despite the fact that it’s no longer available?
