I want to love this game.

Things i like:
- The tower defense part itself is very well done with each map playing differently because of its layout and wave length.
- The art style is very much enjoyable with cute little pixel characters and blocky environments, which together look great.
- I like the UI, despite how confusing it can be at times.
- Music is nice and calm, until you get to later waves where it starts to get more complex, that's cool.
- The economy aspect is very well thought-out with multiple different ore types, each one giving different aura (currency for placing towers and buying upgrades)
- Getting to a certain wave on a map gives you artifacts - perks / abilities you can use to alter the gameplay in some way for future runs.
- Co-op is awesome.

Now for the stuff that I do not enjoy about this game:
- Map traversal could be improved a lot just by allowing the player to turn the camera, since right now the only thing that tries to give you directions on where to go are little white lines going from buoys.
- There's little to no explanation on what new vessels (characters) do - the only thing you get is a very brief tower description and so practically you have to go figure it all out by yourself. Trying to comprehend what the game expected me to do as the SECOND vessel you unlock nearly got me raging. Just add a tutorial for new vessels or a basic strategy for early game so you're not going in completely blind.

The game itself is great, but the underlying problems are very noticable and I just wish the developer would fix them. Once again, I really want to love this game but currently I just can't. 7/10
