More Information About the Legacy of Phrecia Event

Since we announced our plans for the Path of Exile 1 event a couple of days ago, we’ve been working on implementing all the ideas we’ve got for new Ascendancies. The event has also received an official name, the Legacy of Phrecia, to commemorate the great Emperor and the inspiration he gave us.

Over the next few days we’ll be showcasing all the Ascendancy classes we came up with, but as a start, take a look at Harbinger (Witch) and Gambler (Duelist). Please note that these are still work in progress and might be adjusted closer to the start of the event.

Harbinger (Witch)

Become a Harbinger, manipulating the bounds of reality itself. The Harbinger specializes in Time Magic as well as summoning Harbinger allies from their homeworld to assist you in combat. As a bonus you also get to fly and be blue.

Gambler (Duelist)

Are you the kind of player who likes to play against the odds? This is the perfect class for risk lovers who want to experience the highest of highs, and potentially the lowest of lows. The Gambler specialises in betting on a high payoff and having lady luck take control.

Given how rapidly we’re putting the Legacy of Phrecia event together, it’s hard to be certain on timelines, but we’ll announce early next week when this event will be running including as many details about it as possible.

Oh, and one more thing. What is this?!

Which maps have infinite enemy spawns?

There is the area near the end of the Beacon map in chapter 6 and I think one of maps in the first trial of ascendancy had a small portion with enemy spawns. Are there any others later in the game?

Update on Path of Exile 1

We announced last week some unfortunate news regarding the timeline for 3.26.0 for Path of Exile 1. Coming out of that we have adjusted some of our internal resources to be able to provide you with some content to fill the time until that expansion arrives.

To start with we'll be running a one-month event that has some of our whacky ideas that never quite made it off the brainstorm board.

What does Path of Exile 1 look like when the nineteen Ascendancy Classes you know and are familiar with are all of a sudden replaced by a different nineteen? What does Path of Exile 1 look like when you get to play a Witch and ascend to become a Harbinger? These are the questions our design team asked each other and in this event will provide you with some of our answers.

We'll release more details about this content soon but we're really looking forward to seeing how the community reacts to some of our more unhinged ideas.

There's more to announce and we'll keep you updated as we know.

The ongoing Settlers of Kalguur expansion in Path of Exile 1 was launched in July 2024. Since the release of Path of Exile 2 in Early Access, our players have been asking about the future of Path of Exile 1 and the timeline for its next expansion. Why enter these corrupted areas on a map?

I entered one and it was insane! There is wraiths flying around and first rare was a unique boss that dropped ice from the sky that exploded filling half the screen with freeze. It also had some sort of corrupted tempest. Some Corrupted areas have 10 modifiers, !0!! stacked against you!? Insane. I guess if you want to die you would enter it. I didn't get anything special from a corrupted area on a map, it was same as before a map. The only reason I decided to enter one is that is gave 165 percent more...

Game's good, despite what the recent review bombing would lead you to believe. Anyone having a meltdown about the recent announcement needs to touch grass.

No new updates suck (specially if you don't like PoE 2), but some of the takes in the community have been absolutely insane and it's a major part of the reason GGG cut near all direct community interaction.

If you're new, you still have a wonderful game with thousands of hours in content.

If you are an old player, relax, game something else. Stop acting as if GGG scammed you, or is killing poe1 for good. Do it if it actually happens, not based on speculation from a delay announcement. Be rational, please.

Devs are killing the game and lying to customers. there are no 13 week cycles like they said they were going to do. Also they said POE 2 would not interfere with POE 1. That is not the case at all. They are ruining one of my favorite games. GGG was a great company but they are turning into Blizzard 2.0

PoE1 Abandoned, not gonna play poe2 anymore

It's frustrating to see resources and attention poured into PoE2, a game that's not even really out yet, while PoE1, the game that's given us so many hours of fun and excitement, gets left behind. I understand that companies have to look after their future, but at whose expense? The players who've been there from the start, supporting the game and its developers? I don't know about you guys, but I feel disappointed and a little betrayed....
