For now, you could try deleting any save files the game has made. You can find them in the usual place cloud files go. Again, I'm not aware of any way that your game would crash like this only from buying the DLC but there could be something else going on.

In case any others come here with a similar issue, mine was being caused by an outdated audio interface driver. I updated my interface driver to the most recent one available and the game launches and runs with no issue now.
