Unable to download Sniper Elite 3 (Error Code 2)?

Hey everyone, Rebellion/Steam are aware of this problem and it is being looked into. Here is a workaround that many people found useful. Though does not work for everyone.

1. Navigate to the Steam folder in Windows Explorer.
2. Right click, select properties.
3. Select the "Security" tab.
4. In the "Group or user names" box there should be a "Users (<computer-name>\Users)" entry. If this doesn't exist, click "Edit..."
5. In the next window, select "Add..."
6. In the "Enter the object names to select (examples):" box, type "<computer-name>\Users" and click "Check Names" (if the previous window had an "Administrators" entry, they can get the machine name from there, otherwise they'll want to get it from their system properties).
7. Assuming the name is valid, click OK.
8. Make sure all the permissions are ticked for that user on the Permissions page and hit OK.
9. It should propagate those changes to all files and directories in the Steam folder; let that process finish.
10. Hopefully the game will now run.

iexplore.exe is the old version
firefox.exe is the new one. :P

ok guys i helping all :D code 2 код 2

1. open steam\
2. (ctrl+x) steamapps and steam.exe
3. creat new box steam - example C:\steam or C:\games\steam
4. (ctrl+v) after click steam.exe and wait he update.
5. Finish :D Go game !!! :D

1. открываем папку steam\
2. вырезаем папку steamapps и steam.exe (ctrl+x)
3. создаем папку новую steam. в другом месте например C:\steam или C:\games\steam
4. ставим внутри папки steam (ctrl+v) после чего запускаем steam.exe и ждем обновы.
5. Готово ;D Идем играть!!! :D

Yeah, would love to have an eta. Bought this game over a week ago and haven't been able to play it once thanks to this bug...

Switch to the "customersupportlogging" beta in the steam preferences for SE3. This will disable part 2 and 3 of the Churchill campaign, but you will be able to run the game.
