Game crashes

The game first simply crashed at very beginning at the mayor's reception and also an half an hour later for no discernable reason. I only used the keyboard controls. If there's a way to add some diagnostics, tell me. I haven't seen such behavior from other games, so I suspect this being game related.

After the latest game update, it no longer crashed during play. But the game now hangs up, when I try to quit, forcing windows to shut it down.

Same thing happened to me. Game crashed at the Mayor's scene and now won't even get to the Title page.
