We have some important changes for this new season.

Starting from season 22 and onward, the tiebreaker criterias in the Champion Ladder are:

• Head to head
  
• Fewest concessions by the coach
  
• TD difference
  
• Cas difference

Some of you might know that we did some tests tweaking the maximum TV gap in the matchmaking system. After a few weeks of trial and a close look at the data, we're going back to a maximum TV gap of 500.

We're also switching to a turn duration of two minutes, instead of three, for the Champion Ladder season 22 and onward.

Finally, after nearly two years of prize pool on three platforms and 16 seasons, the Champion Cup 21 will be the last cup featuring a prize pool in cash.

It's not the end of the Champion Ladder. We still have hundreds of coaches and a motivated admin team. Blood Bowl 2 released 3.5 years ago and it's been an exciting ride so far. We're delighted to have such an active community hosting dozens of leagues and sharing their love of Blood Bowl. Thank you so much for that!

We're happy to kick-off today the Blood Bowl 2 2018 World Cup Play-Offs!

After months of competition within community leagues and in the official ladder, 64 coaches have qualified for the biggest tournament of the year!

They will compete for more than $30,000 in prizes and become the next Blood Bowl 2 Champion!


You'll find below a schedule to watch the matches throughout the World Cup. The semi-finals and finals are officially streamed, but many community streamers will cover the previous round. Make sure to check Twitch's BB2 page[www.twitch.tv] not to miss the matches.

The Play-Offs are a 64 player single-elimination tournament starting July 16th 2018. It lasts 4 weeks and finishes August 16th 2018.

Players qualified for the Play-Offs will create a brand new team with any races available in the game and keep it for the whole competition.

• 64 teams

• Knock-out Single Elimination

• All matches in BO1

• Three minute turn duration

• Resurrection Mode

• No Stadium upgrades allowed

• No inducement allowed

• Custom teams:

Tier 1: Amazon, Bretonnian, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elves, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves

Team creation up to 1100 TV, then you add: 4 single skills - maximum 2 skills to one player. No stat up. (Final Max starting TV: 1180)

Tier 2: Chaos, Elven Union, High Elves, Humans, Khemri, Necromantic, Nurgle, Underworld, Kislev Circus, Vampire

Team creation up to 1100 TV, then you add: 5 single skills and 1 doubles skill - maximum 2 skills to one player. No stat up. (Final Max starting TV: 1230)

Tier 3: Halfling, Goblin, Ogre

Team creation up to 1100 TV, then you add: 4 single skills and 2 doubles skill - maximum 2 skills to one player. No stat up. (Final Max starting TV: 1240)

After each game, the advancing coach chooses to place 1 extra skill (Max of 2 skills for T1, T2 and T3 teams still applies) on a specified player.
