$30 is still too much based on total sales here as well as reviews.

You need to to do what you feel is right for your budget. Maybe it hits your price point in the future.

I've got 60 hours already, $1/hr and declining (won't be surprised to get 100s of hours eventually), better value for money than most things these days.

Exactly. OP should use isthereanydeal or some other kind of sale tracker. That's what I did - although I would have paid full price for this game

I have Red Storm and I am sure this game is worth $60, but I really want to wait on a WWII version.

We want to do a WW2 version, but that won't see the light of day until late 25/ early 26 assuming the other games sell well and we have the team and time to do another project.
