"damn, ran out of spawn points. might as well leave then" *3 day ban*
"damn, mom's calling me, better leave the match" *3 day ban*
"damn, power went out, hope the boys understand when i tell them later" 3 day ban*
what absolute bollocks. it's these kinds of suggestions that show why some people were never meant to work on MMORPGs.
Players will leave a match for numerous reasons;
.) They only have one vehicle of that BR, most likely a premium, payed with real money
.) They do daily tasks and either the map or the match mode doesn't fit it
.) They judge the match as already lost because the spawns are already camped
.) They don't want to kill feed the enemy team when in an uptier
.) They don't like the map
.) The dog is barking, the phone rings, Mum calls for dinner
.) etc etc etc etc etc
Also, when players leave after one or two deaths, how can you judge that they aren't "making any genuine effort?" Do you watch every player in every replay of every match you play? Does it never come into your mind that they are propably not as good a player as you are, or simply new to the game/BR?
About not using tactics, what if one only has heavy tanks and a SPAA, how should he "flank" by going like a snail compared to light tanks?
Banning players for leaving a match is not a solution to the problem at all, it's blaming the players for the game's system and economy. But if you want them to stay in a already lost match, perhaps the devs could add the option to pay their repair costs. And no, the repair costs won't go away entirely, they have been reduced already based on time spent in a match.
a ban is too harsh, a SL/RP reduction is better
1. only if they have vehicles they can spawn in but choose not too in the first 5mins
2. a penalty for only taking out 1 vehicle into a match if they have any others of the same br that can go with it
Flanking and supporting does ♥♥♥♥ if the whole team just lemming rushes the enemy spawn, no need to stay in a losing game just for such noobs.
Overall nobody is entitled to other people's time on the expense of theirs. Better gamedesign would solve a lot of the issue, a simple map filter would help massivley.
In GRB it's based on earned spawnpoints during the match with 2 spawns guaranteed
that's not true. I have 7 vics in my line up, spawning all of them would cost over 3,5k spawn points.
By the time of my first death i have 4-10 kills and 80% of my team may be dead already... that's is contributing nothing?
And i should get a 3 day ban for the rest of my team failing so hard that there's no point in respawning with a 2nd vic?
You obviously didn't think this through to the end.
When the bad players leave after a single death, then be happy about it, afterall they won't feed any more spawn points to the enemy team while costing your team tickets..
all ground vehicles with a lot of SPAAs?
