Jayhawk's Friendship Tournament [CANCELED]

EDIT: If you're seeing this for the first time and think you want to try competitive out, I suggest you get a team of players together, and look at the Summer League that's being run by Dylan.

I think it’s time we have some friendly competition. This tournament’s theme is Friendship! What I think is really cool about these tournaments is the friendships that come of them, and the fun that results from some good competition. So pay attention to…

THE SPECIAL RULE

If you form a team of players, you may not have more than 3 current/former members of an IM competitive clan. You may recruit players from non-competitive clans.

The Dates
Tournament Start: Friday, June 17 (all throughout that weekend)
Tentative End: Saturday, June 25 (all through that weekend)

The focus:
Try to team up with someone you’ve never interacted with personally.
Make a team and just hang out.
Have fun.

To sign up:
Post your clan/team roster
What day your team is available
Post a range of time that your team is likely available during that day (Post in EDT if possible)
Post the timezone of your range no matter if it’s in EDT or not
(You need to have a minimum of 4 players participate in the tourney.)
If you don't have a team, but still want to play, comment below so people can find you.

General Rules
No cheating: includes going out of bounds, stair clip/rock clip, hacking, ghosting etc…
Follow the map selection procedure.

Map Selection
Map Pool: Operations, Evacuation 2, Arch, Mainline.
There will be no map picks/bans.
When you are in-game waiting for players to join, once both teams are ready to play, then the next map from the map pool on the “Vote Next Map” list will be played. After that map is selected, the next map will be the next map in the pool. For example, if Operations is the next available map, the map after that will always be Evac 2, likewise, if the next available map is Mainline, the map after that will be Operations.

(Please have a representative available 30 minutes before the scheduled time to sort out problems like timezone mistakes. Warming up on pubs beforehand is a good idea too.)

We encourage new clans/players to join as well as old ones! Remember, this isn’t an official tournament. Both experienced and inexperienced players are welcome.

5v5
Best of 3 maps
Gamemode: Deadlock
Maps will not be chosen. Instead they should be played in this order. Whichever of these maps you hit first will be the starting map: (Map order: Operations, Evacuation 2, Arch, Mainline.)

Server Rules: No politics, No religion, Abusement of ANY teamspeak feature will result in permanent ban (for example, excessive PMing to those who don't want PMs)

Are we allowed to create our own channel in the XF server for private like for practices and the like?

Jayhawk has power to create channels if needed amongst other things. There are plenty of other channels you're free to use if you have access to them and you follow the rules he has listed in opening post.

As you can see the server is not passworded, you're free to join and use the server. During tournament time server will be priorised for them, ensuring that people who take part and need the teamspeak will be able to use it by freeing space on server. Outside tournament if somehow the server somehow reaches the maximum number of users, XF members and such will be priority over guests.

I really doubt that maximum users will be reached but in case you do suddenly get kicked without warning, its likely due above. Unless you abused the features that are available to you.

I have sent the days im avalible to younin a message earlier. Not sure if you wrote them down ot not. Im in the pdt timezone and i can problably be on from 9:00am PDT - 10pm PDT.
Not sure if my parents have abythibg planned on sat and sunday though

I have school on the 17th (Friday), but school is only 6 hours. I have the weekend as long as I know what times I have to be avalible, and on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, along with the 24th I all have school.

I get out of school on the 23rd.

Sure. It's probably the best thing to do at the moment. Would've been fun to see some new faces in some comp matches though. (But what am I saying? The YoungRustla's are playing, and I've never seen them before, so we will have some new people in the league.)
