Can't go and investigate the voice after picking up pan

HELP ME! Right when you start a new game you land on the island in a plane crash, duh. When you pick up the pan you hear a voice cry out. From what i've seen from YouTube videos you investigate the voice by going to the right side if the screen. I Dont have that option. I have tried everything from exploring the intro land and Unistalling the game and reinstalling it. Maybe im really dumb and missing something but till im proven dumb i have to say its a bug. I have all ready reported it with F1. Hopefully If it is a bug the devolpers and fix it! If you can help me in anyway please respond! Thanks!

As a temporary fix, you can run the game in windowed mode at any widescreen resolution your computer supports. This bug is only present when using a 4:3 aspect ratio.

This appears to be a deeper issue than we thought regarding different screen resolutions. Can you confirm if switching to a windowed resolution fixes the problem for you? Also, could you list all the resolutions that are available to you in the graphics options screen?

So you were able to switch to a widescreen fullscreen resolution? Or did you just solve it by going widescreen windowed?

I was able to fix it by removing fullscreen windowed, and reduced the screen resolution.

I tried that but no matter what i do (even Uninstaling and reinstaling the game) Dosen't work. Can you please help? if you can't think of anything, can you PLEASE hurry up with that update, i've been waiting for this game and i waNT TO PLAY IT.

ChaoticHarmony, can you please provide information about what monitor you are using? Could you list all the resolutions that are available to you in the game's graphics options screen? Are you unable to switch the game to windowed mode or a 16:9 aspect ratio?
