I had another problem at that part where i wanted to use a skill to defeat him on the 2nd part of the fight but it would freeze the game completely, meaning I had to go back to my last save (which was 1h ago)... I've got at least 3 different freezes in discussions when i used skill menu, tasks notes, etc

You have to keep attacking until the reporters cut to commercial break and then you get the chance to actually defeat him.

ive also experienced the game freezing when choosing a skill option.

i did wait for the commercial break. I then used every skill i had and none of them defeated him.

In my run I defeated him with Cutting Remarks, several turns in after the commercial break started. It's a very long slog, but I guess he's this games Boss Battle.

I used cutting remarks as well and it worked. After a turn or two during the commercial break, the character told me I needed to use an ability, so I did.

I ended up beating him with the cutting remarks. FYI, your game freezes if you pick a skill that isn't highlighted and you can't use it.

The game should no longer softlock as of latest Hotfix Patch addressed that issue.

I still can't pass through this pyro guy, I tried everything and have 0 hype and 0 life before the dialog

help

It loops for like 3 times then he blows himself up.
