Unlocking Plague Patron
I have tried everything that I can think of to accomplish this one to unlock the Plague Patron (Apply Plague to 50 enemies at the same time).

  1. I used Plague Doctor with Alchemy Launchers.
  2. 7x Alchemy Launchers, I made sure to have all of them touching my main weapon and as many others touching as I could to give the largest AoE bonus.
  3. Maxed out the Attack Speed at the Altar of Three Fates for the Alchemy Launchers
  4. Put as many Attack Speed gems in each Alchemy Launcher as I could, each fired at .28ish times per second.
  5. Put the Range on Crit gems in wherever I couldn't put Attack Speed gems
  6. Put Chance to Plague gems everywhere else, not sure if this helps but, I couldn't hurt.
  7. Had 3x Nature Elemental trees (Plague AoE Summon)
  8. Stacked Additional Enemy items (178% Additional Enemies)
  9. Stacked over 100 Luck. I doubt this affects Plague but, why not.

Even with all this, the display says that I only hit 21/50. So...even with all this...I'm not even getting to 50% of the needed amount? I must be doing something wrong. The literal entire map is covered in Plague Clouds and I made sure the trees were properly spread out for maximum plague distribution. I also made sure to do this on Difficulty 5 so the monsters had maximum life to stay alive longer.

I haven't even bothered with the Achievements 20 Golden Statues or 5x Summoning Circles yet. And I assume the achievement to Burn 25 enemies at the same time will be insane also.

Help? What am I doing wrong?

The way i got it? stacking plague weapons, enemies, and endless mode (And A LOT of sheer luck)

Problem is: Enemies will not be "plagued" if they die in one hit... so you need them stronger, and more of them. Endless mode was "my way to get there" too.

So...I finally got this. Funny enough, I got both this and burning at the same time. I took this janky summon build to Floor 30 and 8x Preserved Parasites mixed with Volcanic Fragments did the trick. I started off doing the summon achievement and modified it at Floor 20. Eventually everything was frozen with Runed Ice + Freeze Gems and I was doing no damage so, probably anything would have worked.

Just got this.

Just focused on getting alchemy launchers and + enemy count items for 24 waves.

even getting rid of all my damage boost items 9 red launchers was too much damage, so i had to trim them down to 4, After running around the map a few times it popped.

Should be noted i was using plague specter and going for unlocks,

It took me to level 32 in endless mode to do it. I did it with the Shaman (Because Shaman gets AoE size bonus) and the Alchemy Launchers, and very deliberately kept my damage as low as possible. If your damage is too high you kill everything too fast. You need 50 enemies to be alive and infected at the same time, so... keep that damage low.

And yeah, as Pyro noted, you probably don't want to upgrade your weapon tier even. Do absolutely everything in your power to keep your damage as low as possible.

I got mine via stacking bloated zombies and launchers with 0 stat bonuses around 18 of 20. The key is to not get any additional scaling magical, ranged, or summon damage bonuses and then pick up boots so you can dash around.

If you place the guns near each other their AOE increases and if you use the Trial Alters to give them higher attack speed favor you can definitely do it without much trouble. I recommend doing it that way. Zombies aggro enough monsters you can forego any hp regen items to focus on getting as many weapons as possible if you play as the base Plague Doctor.
