Hey everyone!

It's been a while since you've been updated on the progress that's been made in The Lacerator, and we wanted to keep you all in the loop! Games From The Abyss has been toiling away in Max's journey, and he can't wait for you all to see what's in store (Like the new badass Key Art)!

We wanted to try and do one of these occasionally to show off some environments, enemies, and weapons or just random things Fernando has made for the game.

Meet...

THE MINDLESS CRAWLER

The Mindless Crawler will chase Max around the Lacerators labyrinth. Even without legs, he still has to end Max's life one way or another because if Max doesn’t finish them off, The Lacerator will rip them to shreds in his furious rage. As you can see, he has a bomb strapped to his back, which will go off when he gets close to Max.

Max will have to be fast or have good aim to take these guys down before their bomb goes off!

We are excited to start showing off more of what goes into making The Lacerator, especially as we go into launch year!

demo glitch

When the game was paused, I clicked on the controls button and the game couldn't get rid of that screen despite being able to play the game

Demo feedback

Pretty good demo. I did get stuck on the first combination puzzle cause I had a brainfart and didn't think to put a 0 before the numbers and put 863 or 864 but I eventually figured it out. Other than that I found it a bit on the easier side, the lacerator wasn't very threatening and I had tons of health items and bullets for a survivor horror game. I'm sure that can be tweaked though. The only bugs I really ran into is if I was fighting the zombie enemies near a wall, they would clip through it when they d...

I love PS1 throwback horror games and try to keep up with any new releases like this. I like what I see so far, hilarious trailer :) Wishlisted, good luck with the development

Only just managed to sit down with this demo - which is a pity, 'cause I love fixed multicam. Loved the sense of humour in the game - Max is abducted, but left with a cigarette. =D I should have guessed the gun was a trap - as soon as the angle changed, though, I knew I'd made a mistake. =D The camera angles are very functional (they keep to fixed multicam best practice), but the zooms while using doorways, the slow-mo on the attacks and the screenshake for the swipses are fantastic - very cinematic, ...
