Tutorial is overwhelming for me

This is definitely a personal issue, but all of the games components being explained up front when there's not enough experience to understand what any of it means is super overwhelming. Before I get to do anything, I am asked to seemingly learn every aspect of the game. I can't even go to the menu during the explanation to change settings.

Is there a written (or with images) guide on how to play? I cannot absorb all these things in isolation when it's being talked at me and I have no frame of reference for anything yet.

Aww, that's too bad. I really dislike when tutorials are set up this way, massive info dumps all at once without actually playing the game and being taught as you go.

I absolutely hear you. This organically grew out of hand a bit; we tried to segment the tutorial as much as possible to let you do stuff in between, it's just that so many of the mechanics do actually happen in the first year, not giving us much time to space things out more. Just played for the first time and this is exactly how I felt.
By the time I actually got to play the game I had forgotten half of what had been told to me.

I like what I see so far but that tutorial is very poor and off-putting in my opinion.

So, what are your plans to improve the tutorial, please? Will you be making an interactive tutorial that teaches you the stuff you need to know as you actually do it in the game? Or is the current version all we'll ever get?

As we're working on a mobile version, we have tuned down the amount of words and steps in the tutorial to make it more digestible. We'll look into further improving it. Thanks again for the feedback!
