Anyone else find ladders to be the most unfair obstacle?
Played for an hour and a half relaxing on my first run and got all the way to the bounce pad introduction. Every obstacle had been pretty easy and relaxing with the exception of ladders. You cant grab ladders while up against a wall and it is very easy to fall off. I had been able to get past most of them though after a few tries with the exception of one in the previously mentioned bounce pad area. Had gotten stuck there for nearly 20 mins before I realized I wasn't relaxing anymore and decided to take a break.

They're really annoying, they feel "blurry" for lack of a better term

Let me first say i do love a good challenge. But those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ladders. Uhh they make me angry sometimes, they are just badly designed, they are so RNG, so you can the exact same thing, but slide off. They are hands down my least favorite part of the game.

its also, you cant be againts the wall or you wont grab them. you have to try and jump away from the walls first.

Watch some speedruns - ladders can clearly be mastered, and they look amazing when they are.

Hello, it is the same for me. I enjoyed the game a lot and i managed to get to the "bounce" area and i think im gonna uninstall the game. These ladders might be the worst thing i have experienced in a game.

ladders have the worst collision, may as well be RNG, the only thing I hate more is the ice

you may already know this, but in case you dont - holding sneak while on a ladder makes sure you dont slide down them. very useful for the "nail" ladders later in the game. i also changed the controls so shift is sneak and my mouse button is sprint which made things just feel better

sliding down ladders is rare, jumping to a ladder and not grabbing it seems to be a lot more common

it straight up IS bad design, in a game that requires near-perfection, having ladder collision being sketchy at best makes some jumps close to being RNG for most players.

I honestly don't feel like i've ever had a problem with ladders that wasn't from my own error. Any time that i fall off of a ladder, or don't successfully latch onto one, I can tell where i messed up. So i don't really see the perspective here

i find jump pads to be way more frustrating because theyre inconsistent
