Seems like a sci-fi story, but it’s actually a deep psychological analysis masterpiece

The plot of Love Is All Around goes something like this:

The protagonist is a guy who’s addicted to gambling. Driven insane by his gambling debts, he suffers from a mental breakdown, which results in the fragmentation of his personality and projection of six different “sisters.”

Lin Yueqin represents the mother, Shen Huixin symbolizes childhood, Xiao Lu embodies instinct, Li Yunsi is the ego, Zheng Ziyan stands for the id, and Zhong Zhen represents the superego.

These six sisters are intricately connected in the surface story, almost like Truman's world, arranged around the protagonist. The limited understanding he has from online literature makes the sisters often seem brainless and accepting of his miraculous actions, remaining steadfast and loyal.

The protagonist’s skill is drawing, but he mainly creates abstract art. The elements familiar to him in real life, such as color points, also appear abstract.

The character Liu is depicted as a projection of the debt collectors in the protagonist’s mental defense mechanisms. Despite his suit, constant phone use, and insistence on signing contracts, these characteristics reflect the subconscious impressions of debt collectors in the protagonist’s mind.

This would have been an easy recommendation. The story is good and the live action video really brings it to life.

Unfortunately, progression through each chapter requires a combination of dialogue selections to earn an affection score. Only when you get a high enough score can you proceed. This means that you have to replay scenes over and over, breaking the immersion and forcing you to pick choices you otherwise wouldn't make.

I eventually completed the game with a "bad" ending in 3.5 hours.

wish i could recommend since its a fun game but it wont let you play the way you want. after chapter 3 i needed to replay for the game to progress so its a no from me
