Not a bad game, but certainly not something that I could generally recommend.

There are some interesting characters, emotional moments and always a certain suspense. Visually, it's okay with a few decent locations or scenarios. Audio is rarely part of the game but when it is, it's meaningful and exceptionally well made.

The reason why I can't recommend the game is because there is constant chatter. Often meaningless and too boring for you to remain focused, paying attention. But the game also always makes you wonder if you are maybe missing out on something important.

A minor issue is controls. I played this game on the Steam Deck and it was borderline impossible for me to climb a hill. My salvation was that touch control got me up there.
An achievement called "The Map" was just torture, with the given controls.

But as I said, it's not all bad. The Interlude "The Entertainment", a scene in a pub, somehow ended up being my absolute favorite part of the game.

This "game" is hard to call a game. I don't think we really have the language to describe something like this - it's more an interactive art gallery than anything else, but that calls to mind a white hallway with hanging oils and watercolors which rich people comment on snobbishly while adjusting their monocles. And it's not that.

The closest analogy I can make it to American Gods or David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. The story told is a passionate, deep understanding of Americana combined with emotions which words can't describe.

What this game is going for definitely won't hit for everyone. But if it hits for you, then be prepared for a profound experience which leaves you sighing and staring into the distance when you finish. A word of warning - if you dislike atmosphere, glacially slow pacing, or a lot of reading, this game isn't for you. But for those of you who do, well...be prepared for something special.

Fantastic story game, loved the bluegrass music and the overall mystical metaphysical vibe. Would highly recommend adding to the wishlist and getting in a sale.

Also the barn scene in the final act was beautiful <3
