The game has a charming concept and a nice script! But the gameplay is as bland as can be. Everything about the gameplay is super rote and meaningless!

You got a new spell to slow down time on stuff? It is meant to be used against very specific doors that shut down before you can enter. The doors neither blend with the environment nor are they really fitting lore-wise. They are just there because the designers wanted you to use your time spell at that point, for no particular reason. Not because it would create a tense moment, not to put pressure on something, not to help you understand something, not because it would pose a physical or mental challenge... it's just there... to pile on some gameplay time and to force you to press the spell button I guess... It's just a straight example but everything about the gameplay of this game, from puzzle solving to creature-collecting and then the combat is just as devoid of any adventureness.
