Game won't launch
It gets stuck at "Running install script (Microsoft VC redistubutable)". I have already installed the latest Visual C++ Redristributable pack from Microsoft's site. Any suggestions?

How long have you let it run for? The message you're describing is part of Steam's redistributable installer and not really a matter distinct to War for the Overworld.

If you've given it ~10-15 minutes and nothing has happened then I'd check to see if your anti-virus is blocking steam from installing the prerequisite files. Beyond that you may find more thorough help dealing with this topic direct from Steam Support or the Steam Support forums.
