It's unplayable, it crash in the menu

Randomly, about every 5-10 times, when I open the game menu to save or load a game, the game completely crashes, forcing me to reboot my computer completely. Every time I want to enjoy a game, I have to do it while closing all other applications so I don't lose any work files.

I've seen a lot of threads from other people who have had similar issues with this game.

The game itself is very stable, but I feel that the integration with the Steam interface was not good, the development has to be of poor quality, full of bugs and probably without QA processes.

Maybe try the new rerelease if you have it.

It has all the updates applied. The DOS version works fine, but the game with the new UI fails every time.
