When I first received the game my impression of the game wasn't exactly good, and I let the developer know privately, choosing to delay my own review of it. The developer recently messaged me (on 24th July 2024) that they had improved things, and this is the first time any developer has taken my feedback and improved the state of the game. This just doesn't happen normally.

It is now in a much more fun and playable state than it used to be, with many of the bugs and gameplay issues I privately reported being improved or fixed. While it still suffers under extreme performance issues, these seem to be a result of the developer not turning off Shadow Casting/Receiver on things that don't need it. Turning off Shadows entirely triples to quadruples FPS - though the game is locked to 60 FPS for unknown reasons, even with VSync on.

- Fun Dungeon Crawler with procedural? generation, but not to the point that it becomes annoying.
- Proper audio balancing from the start, instead of 🔊LOUD NOISES the moment you open the game.
- A normal crafting system that doesn't suffer under timer-ities like almost every other crafting system nowadays.
- Much of the dialog can be skipped, same with cutscenes.
- Bunnyhop to go faster. Nostalgia hits hard.

- The keyboard controls can at best be described as questionable. They seem like the original idea was to make a space game, where the layout makes more sense, but it just doesn't make sense in an action game. Why is space not going up, but leaving the rig? Why is down F instead of Control or Shift?
- Voice lines are currently using machine generated audio, which just ruins the game's story right now.
- The forced tutorial/story is roughly 30 minutes long, and can't be skipped even if you've played the game before. This tutorial must be played through if you want to play the actual game.
- Can't multitask, as the game pauses itself if it loses focus for any reason - including the Steam Overlay.
- The game forces HDCP to be on for unknown reasons.
- No easily noticable visual difference between things you've already looted and things you still need to loot. Easily fixed

- No or limited visual separation of interactable things and enemies. Sometimes you just stumble upon something new you can interact with in the middle of a field of things you can't interact with.
- Poor performance at times, 16 FPS on my system (NVIDIA RTX 4080, AMD Ryzen 7950X3D, 6400Mhz DDR5) just isn't what I expected. But it can be improved to triple digit FPS by disabling shadows without a noticable impact on visuals.
- Gathering using Melee or the Glove is just straight up broken at times, and really should just be replaced with an interact prompt instead.
- Menus and Tutorials open by themselves, interrupting gameplay unexpectedly.
- There's a distinct lack of feedback for actions and things happening to/around you or enemies. The combat is probably one of the worst aspects of the game for now, despite still being fun.

- Sometimes you can throw grenades while in a paused game state, resulting in a grenade killing you while you are in a menu that supposedly pauses the game.
- Leaving the rig sometimes gets you permanently stuck while it infinitely attempts to level out.
- Randomly, with no warning, the game goes into what I can at best describe as "fullbright". Any and all lighting and screen-space effects vanish, resulting in a "flashbang".
- Filters on the Research Station just don't seem to work.
- The 2nd play area has no boundaries, so you just teleport back to the first level with no warning.
- Found several ways to fall through the world. :)
- Many models have collision models that are smaller than the rendered model, causing the rest of the world to visually unload. Not pretty.
