The graphics for this game are very poor they dont look like they have advanced hardly at all in over 16 years since the first game? Very lazy of the devs to keep creating these games and not improving them each time I think. They still look pretty much the same as when I first looked at a Combat Mission game years and years ago....

Hello, just wanted to post a location of some Mods for CMBN that someone may find useful. All Mods here are made to work and blend together. The terrain Mod covers most of the files and does contain some other modders effects which are noted the by folder name. The mods does the best it can, but does not fix anything that makes the game ugly such as flickering shadows, poor weather coding and the other stuff. I am doing the Battle called "Platoon Patrol". I started the scenario with a mortar team but I don't see any "Forward Observing Team". So It wouldn't let my mortal team fire their mortar shells, it said "DENIED" on a certain screen. Do I need a direct line of sight for the mortar team to fire? Who issues the order? The unit firing, or the spotters, or HQ, or can anyone? Does there need to be a whole chain of command? Strangely, almost every squad is listed as a "spotting", not sure how this relates....
