Late but i had the same thing.

Solution is to download and use NearInfinity go into the CRE folder to tanar.cre then in edit tab scroll until animation and change it.

Thank you, I recently played again after modding the game and completly forgot about the bug and the fix for it, so I had to rediscover it once more.

the EEKeeper savegame editor allows you to alter that particular file aswell.
What you have to change is (Copy pasta from a forum post)
EDIT: This has been fixed by changing the animation of tanar.cre from fiend_green to tanarri.

1) Install the EEKeeper
2) Open the tanar.cre with it
3) change the animation to tanarri (simple drop down menue).
4) Save
5) Enjoy the game.
