changing light color doesnt work?

i bought two different light colors but nothing changes when i try to equip them

I found it can be hard to tell the light difference for some colors when it's daytime. Since it gets darker in-game during night, it's easier to see the colors of the light then. (I'm a night owl

)

ohh that makes sense, i did not realise the actual time of day makes a difference ingame
