Looks like Earthbound, but the party of mostly grown-assed adults + bargains with eldritch entitites gives it a vibe closer to Persona 2 EP or Shadow Hearts.

This is one of the most polished RPGmaker games I've played- not a stock visual in sight, crisp character artwork, and smooth combat animations.

It plays like a standard-issue dungeon crawler- 90% of it is explorable combat areas, either with telegraphed random encounters, or on-field enemies that stay dead. Characters get a good variety of weapons arts and spells. It's pretty fun once you start setting up lifesteal and poison combos.

I have a few minor gripes, but the game is free and I won't dwell on them. It wouldve been nice to spend skill points from the pause menu, rather than at a sparse number of rest areas. Also, I wouldve liked to see a progress indicator for lowering the encounter rate on fields.
