I like how every negative review is crying over how this game "iS nOt A bLaZbLuE gAmE"

Insanely cool hidden gem of a co-op game. A fighting game roguelite with great combat and one of the most interesting progression systems I've ever seen, don't let the metroidvania look confuse you.

Overrated - It may be a bit unfair to give this a thumbs down as it is a fun game. However, I firmly believe that the meta progression layer is extremely obnoxious with constant, unending backtracking on the meta stage, with insistent extremely long, poorly written dialogues.

You essentially have a very fast paced "roguelike" that is interrupted between every single run with very boring gameplay.

Do a run --> Go back to the meta layer --> Run around on a much to large 3-stage "level" looking for idiots to talk to that dont say anything interesting but also wont shut up --> guess where the next meaningless meta quest is --> find the boring npc to talk to --> hit A a million time to just get through it --> Finally go play the game again

The skill (in particular potential) descriptions are very poorly translated and i can barely understand what things do without a lot of trial and error.

I wouldnt say this is enough for a thumbs down per-se but given that this game is getting its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so hard, I feel to need to balance things out a bit

edit: I have played some more and I'm also fairly disappointed with how the combat and building actually works. The marketing would have you believe that youre going to be doing flashy combos and playing a sort of fighting game roguelike, and although that is technically possible,and perhaps even optimal in some cases, youll quickly learn that it really isnt what the design pushes you towards. You get pushed quite a bit more in a "pick button, buff, then spam" type of gameplay

The game is interesting, and I prob lean towards being neutral, but as said above i do think its heavily overrated
