[SOLVED] What does the key "Limit Dig" do?

In the settings, I can bind a key to "Limit Dig".

By default "Limit Dig" is bound to the key "C".

What is the purpose of "Limit Dig"? I have tried using it, but I don't know what it is supposed to do, and using it does not seem to have any observable effect.

Hold C when you start marking terrain to dig, and you'll mark only that terrain type until you stop. It's nice for mining resources without getting messy, or putting a drain hole in a chamber full of liquid without accidentally marking any of the liquid.

Yup thats it. Mouse over terrain, hold C, you only dig up the material that was under your cursor. Good for when you want to mine resources without disturbing the land.
