I was surprised by the beautiful landscapes and effects like explosions or little details in the architecture , the sky at night looks incredible and from time to time i had to stop to enjoy a view and those moments were many..

The open world freedom lets you do everything you want, you can ignore the main story if you want and liberate outposts and cities or just explore the world with your grappling hook, wingsuit and parachute.

The gameplay is great if you like chaotic destruction.. from explosions to destructible structures everything is on point for this kind of game however it's kind of funny how you die without penalty just to respawn with your ammo resupplied..

From my perspective this was a rewarding experience but with a few inconveniences i just can't ignore. I'll start with the forced humor, it's a trademark for the series and here we have plenty but it feels just cold.

The storyline is lackluster and it lacks emotions or it fails to create a bond with the player and i'll end with the same repetitive world design and missions.

It's frightening for me because i'll play Just Cause 4 too in the future and from what i've seen it feels more of a DLC than a separate game , but i like these types of games so much i just can't skip that.

So why this is still a good game for me? Because i had hours of fun blasting enemies with rpgs , tanks or helicopters or special weapons and gears. Or maybe it was the wingsuit and the exploring part that made me feel like a child with a smile on my face..

In conclusion if you like open world games and you're looking for a little bit of fun play this!

It's looking to be a rough homecoming for Rico Rodriguez as he travels back home to Medici to help an old friend and a new rebellion fight against a tyrant hellbent on power and keeping hold of the secrets of resources only found beneath Medici's surface. But as the fight grows, questions rise about who to trust and The Agency's past with Medici.

Just Cause 3 takes the runaway success of Just Cause 2 and pushes the chaotic envelope further, with more firepower, explosions and a lot more freedom to pursue both in the name of dictator removal.

What surprises me about JC3 is that it's story is quite good. Whereas in JC1 and 2, the story can be loosely forgotten about as it mostly boils down to "Go here, blow up x or protect y and we're good." JC3 (despite having the same type of structure) has great side characters that keep progress with Rico and how the mission is progressing or joining alongside him with plenty of banter in amongst the fighting with Medici's military might. One character in particular i'd like to mention is Mario, Rico's childhood friend and proud rebel fighter. The history that gets referenced between them along with Mario's infectious personality and desire to fight were quite charming and i was always glad to see some humor between both him and Rico. And though not often seen in cutscenes and mostly heard through collectable audio tapes, the main villain General Di Ravello is quite imposing and terrifying when digging into his past and in what segments we actually see him in. His tapes reveal a "long game" when it comes to seizing power over Medici which shows just how cunning and terrifying he can be when propped up next to Mendoza and Panay of the previous games. Having a villain with some depth is odd for the series, but very welcome.

As for the gameplay, it's an upgrade to JC2 in many improved ways. From 130 locations (after DLC) compared to 369 of the sequel, Medici feels a lot less bloated and more fun to take back when compared to Panau and all the settlements and bases with roughly the same names that are so forgettable and boring. From the second main story mission you gain access to the wingsuit, a new addition to the series allowing for faster movements in the air than what was possible with just a parachute and needing to use the grapple hook to keep momentum. New challenges unlock after certain locations are liberated that unlock mods for things related to that challenge. Firing range challenges will make you better with guns, car race challenges will give upgrades to cars the player calls down, car bomb challenges will improve placed explosives and much more. But above all else, Avalanche did away with the cash system that limited how much fun players could have summoning guns and cars in JC2 with a new beacon system.

With the new Rebel Drop system, the player can call down a primary, secondary, special weapon, a vehicle of any type or a mix of the four with a flare. The amount held can be upgraded and these beacons are INFINITELY retrievable from any liberated outpost or generated resupply point from completing random events. One of my major issues with JC2 was the fact that even with holding the max amount of cash obtainable within a save, once it's out, you can't call for anything. Not even DLC items. But JC3's Rebel Drops fix that and i could actually freely swap out a loadout or call down a weaponized vehicle whenever i felt like it without any worry about running out of beacons.

As a Mediterranean inspired locale, Medici is gorgeous. Clear waters, rolling hills and winding roads, beautiful architecture and fantastic mountains. And liberating it is fantastic. When freeing a town or village from Di Ravello's rule, a rebel radio will praise Rico for his efforts in freeing the people (with unique dialogue for each actual town) whereas taking down a major military base will incur a propaganda radio voiced by the excellent David Tennant who tries to quell any thoughts that the rebels are winning major battles by saying it was the General's idea to get rid of whatever base you just took over.

Your tools for achieving Medici's freedom also grow in power. As you progress further into the game and takedown bases, you'll gain access to the usual mix of rocket launchers with unqiue qualities, helicopters and tanks and other classic tools of destruction. But JC3 ups the ante, adding mortar launchers, EMP weapons, airstike targeting devices, tanks and helicopters with recharging invincibility shielding and even a shoulder fired nuke launcher if you really feel like deleting a military base from existence. Medici is a playground of potential destruction just waiting for the player to light the fuse.

However as much as i am a total fan of this game, i do have my share of criticisms.

Some of the challenges (looking at Wingsuit Courses and some Bomb Blast) are incredibly tedious in terms of chasing the score threshold for maximum rating. With my examples, some Wingsuit Courses DEMAND a constant string of perfect checkpoint flying just to get the best score. While that itself is fine, chasing for those tinier circles can lead to constant crashes into the ground and restarts of the entire course, or seeing that you went into the perfect zone but only getting a "great" is frustrating. The Bomb Blasts are incredibly buggy. Driving a wired car into a cluster of enemy vehicles and seeing NONE of them blow up in the massive explosion and not boosting your decaying score is infuriating.

A smaller criticism of mine has to be the physics of all car, bike and sea vehicles. In terms of on land, cars and bikes are horrible to try and move around with, especially when just trying to take turns. Bikes are the most horrible in this, especially with any races requiring them. Not to mention how any bike race requiring a stunt jump runs the likelihood of making the player crash out on landing and waste time getting back on and continuing. Sea vehicles are their own annoyance with how they turn and how they can't really be adjusted while in mid-air if you see any of the more speedier ones start to spin over and be upside down when landing which effectively kills the boat.

I've also suffered a number of crashes in my playtime, though without any form of crash report or error to fix that, it just became a matter of grinning and bearing it.

Overall, i really enjoyed my time playing JC3. From the story, to characters, weapons and equipment as well as the general destruction and the visual improvements there. It takes what i didn't like about JC2 and fixes it, and what i liked about JC2 and improved it further. Well recommended.

Gaslighting system requirements, says it requires and also recommends 8GB Memory yet still runs like ♥♥♥♥ with 8GB memory (literally gives a message saying if you don't have the minimum memory required so I don't think it's about CPU or anything else). 60GB of poor optimisation, such a shame.
