Disconnects Fix & Leaderboards
Freedom fighters of Medici,

After investigating recently reported connectivity issues, the root of the problem has been determined, and improvements are being made to address the issue.

One of the data centres from which Just Cause 3’s services are running, has been receiving an exceptionally large amount of network traffic. We are working with the data centre to address these bandwidth issues.

Unfortunately this may take a few days. In the meantime, we have made a change to the way that Just Cause 3 works to reduce the number of connection issues you might experience. The change in question, is to temporarily disable friends leaderboards. We know that some of you will miss these greatly, but please rest assured that we’re working to bring them back online as soon as the situation allows us to.

We would very much like to thank you all for your continued patience as we look to bring Just Cause 3 back to its extraordinarily explosive self. Once the situation at the data centre has improved, we’ll be sure to bring friends leaderboards back online and post an announcement letting you all know about it.

Now, it’s time to jump back in-game and blow things up!
The Just Cause 3 Team

Just a question out of the topic: Do Square have any comments on why we receive emails saying that JC3 is on our wishlist as an early access? being said, this game is not a full game rather than early access or beta access call it whatever you want but this is not a full game =)

And second question, will you guys tell us on what rig did you built and tested the game? Maybe some specification to clear things out?

How about an opt out button for the leader boards? That'll cut your traffic :)
Peh 28 Dec, 2015 @ 11:00am
Is there a way to deactivate this unnecessary online feature in the first place? I can't play while getting the notification of losing the connection to the server and then when I try to open the map he tries to establish a connection again and it somehow goes into limbo.

I improved a couple of feat scores over the weekend that have reverted to what they were last week. Anyone else ?

Yea, how about that?

Some of us cares nothing about leaderboards, and wishes to enjoy this singleplayer game, as a singleplayer game. I don't want to be disturbed by "Attempting log in" "Retry connection" "Play in offline, but will surely keep trying to reconnect you mode".

Exactly, I love when I am in the middle of some explosive action and then the game pauses and asked me to reconnect or remain offline. Talk about immersion! Luckily this happens every 30 minutes or so!

/sarcasm

I think leaderboards are the smiley face on top of the anti-piracy measures aren't they? They use leaderboards as an excuse for the DRM, no ? (Although I like seeing my rank on the leaderboards, cause I'm awesome)

Thank u 4 the update & the good news.

Many players don't care at all about online-leaderboards in a SP-game.
Plz add option 2 disable the leaderboards.

Thanks.

Judging by the Speed that the Dev team is working on the patches i expect this to be solved May 2018

How about a Hotfix that lets us turn it completely off ?
You ever thought of that ? No ?
Figures.

Did you guys even read your own forums and discussions on Steam ?
There is a Reason why people block the Jc3.exe in their firewall

My Patience is at an End.
The Devs are barely answering here.
No Answers since the first of December in their own forums and their twitter account is pretty much dead.

Until that happens we get the usual Radio silence and no answers or information at all.
Like always

I would... IF THE GAME WOULD ACTUALLY STAY OFFLINE ! instead of asking every fricking 5 minutes to connect.

The next time you puplish a game i will simply pirate it, if thats the way you treat paying customers.
rootguy 28 Dec, 2015 @ 12:46pm
How about REMOVE THIS "FEATURE" FROM THE GAME. I love the game, but this is getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. Get with it guys, your customers do NOT want this online ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shoved down our throats, especially when in INTERUPTS GAMEPLAY!!!

I use leaderboards and I like it
So don't think your opinion is the opinion of everyone
Bardouv 28 Dec, 2015 @ 2:53pm
I give no craps about the leaderboards and I guess I'll try to find a mod to remove the need to connect to the internet in a singleplayer game.

I have a better fix which serves to prevent your data collection on our SINGLE PLAYER game which DOESN'T NEED ONLINE for anything:

1) Install the No Intro mod from here: http://justcause3mods.com/mods/no-intro/
2) Restart Steam in offline mode
3) Enjoy getting into the game in less than 1 minute and not screwing with stupid online crap we don't need or a 60-second intro (seriously, fire the person who's idea this was, they clearly do not game).
