The controller bug, resolution problems, neither of those were included in the original guide. Clearly issues happened since the original fix, this guide illustrates how to get it working in 2021, it's just using a download in a guide from 2020 as one of the steps. I just streamlined it for people who didn't want to dig through the comments for solutions or read through all the other irrelevant stuff like config files.
Additionally, the original patch was posted in "Guides", not "Discussions", which is where I usually find patches and because there was nothing helpful in discussions it took longer to find, so this further streamlines it for others.
It's literally just to make the process faster and less of a headache, I'm not really sure where you got I was "just trying to tell people it exists". :/
There, I changed two words. It's no longer "2021 Patch and Fix", which is exactly what it is, it's now "2021 Patching Guide and Fix" Sorry for trying to help, Jesus dude get a life.
I'm more curious about what exactly you expected that you're not getting here with this. This directly adds on to the previous guide. Sorry I didn't rewrite the program with these changes.
Until someone else does, this is the most updated patching guide that takes into account what the other didn't. That's kinda how updates work. Trust me, I'm not in it for the "glory" or whatever of posting a guide for an old game, and I'm not taking credit for anyone else's work. Literally just trying to make things easier. I gave credit where it was due. I want none.
Nice editing out your dickish responses btw.
But thanks for the insults.
That's not how you started this at all. You came into this saying "...you're just trying to tell people it exists" which was not at all the purpose of the post. You then moved the goalpost and fixated on it being "misleading".
Why would the patch need to be updated? The patch does everything you need. I just connected the missing dots. It still doesn't answer the question as to why you're disappointed, you're just picking out whatever you can to stir up ♥♥♥♥, rather than be like "Oh cool, thanks dude, I appreciate your time and effort streamlining all of this", you decided to go the other route and get upset that it wasn't a new thing for you to download that you don't need. It makes absolutely zero sense.
If you were wanting to address a grammar inconsistency like that, there were far better ways to approach it than to come in belittling the post and insulting the creator's intelligence without even reading the entirety of it.
So yeah. You're welcome. Focus more on being constructive in the future rather than your own ego and you can avoid these problems.
Thank you! I really appreciate the positive feedback, I'm glad it worked out for you!
When I try to set S button to roll, the game crashes every single time:
Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Abnormal program termination of Tomb2.exe
I have already played TR1 using similar mod adding Unfinished Business, and there were no such problems there (in case those 2 mods were prepared by same people)
I was wondering why none of the buttons weren't working(except for the joystick). This was I all needed to do and PS4 controller started working properly. Thank you, very much.
"Browse Local Files" if you don't have the folder open already (How to in NOTES). Right click Tomb2.exe, click Properties > Compatibility > Uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" (Or you won't be able to use a controller)
There ya go, updated for 2021, we're in the future now whoa
Please bump this post if it helps you to keep it relevant for others!
