Say you build a block with a staircase and some floor. Can they shoot from the advantage point?

So yeah to really get that itch scratched of mine after playing a lot of Gnomoria I Found other games very hard to get into and even play enough to say i did a real play through AT LEAST once. Sorry i know i talk funny, any who what i mean is Songs of Syx is only game i have found to KEEP me hooked like Gnomoria did at start. Dwarf Fortress was like mehhh neat some crazy story lines and crazy people killing my own dwarfs now we have to arrest him or something i donnu.. But ya and Rim World though i did ...

I installed Gnomoria and changed the video setting to borderless fullscreen and now I can't click anything in the game or change the setting back. I have tried reinstalling to reset the program and the borderless fullscreen problem is still there. Does anyone know what I can do?...

And was wondering in gameplay terms is it similar to Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld? I bought Dwarf Fortress thinking I'd like it but I really didn't...
