On its own, yeah, it doesn't earn you much. But I still have to disagree with you there, on the condition that you also have leveled your cooking (which is very easy to do if you start early-game with simple recipes like pickled turnips or pickles). I have sold a single grilled fish (I think it was Lover or Glitter Snapper) for 40K. A single dish for that much is a lot of profit. Now imagine fishing for an entire day and then cooking everything...

I'd like to add onto this that Tuna Teriyaki and Yellowtail Teriyaki are crazily profitable. During Winter you can make a lot of money by farming radish and fishing. Level 10 of those two dishes gives you 70K+ gold per dish.
