You gotta change the settings in the gitgud.ini file.

I was googling a bit bc i wanted the Steam Overlay to work and I was reading that northern UI breaks the Steam Overlay + Gamepad Inputs mb u try a different UI
You should use either Mod Organizer 2 or Wrye Bash as a mod installer/manager; do not use Vortex for Oblivion

I just manually installed obse, the unofficial patches, the 4gb ram to make it run better.

Then i added an uncapper so skills & attributes can go beyond 100 and still affect the game, whilst removing the level cap.

Then i added the midas magic mod or whatever its called, adds a whole bunch of new spell types to use and craft your own.

Then i added an enchanting mod that lets you stack multiple enchants (i think up to 7) on the same pieces of gear to make more unique builds.

And finally a mod to make training fair priced and allow unused training to carry over (so if you hit lv10 without ever using any trainers, you could get 50 levels of training).

For once i'm doing a breton atronach aiming for 100% spell absorption build, in heavy armor with sword/board named the custom class paladin. MS athletics, alteration, blade, block, destruction, mysticism and restoration.

It's fun playing this game again after 18 years.
learning to mod is not instant success unless ofc u doing something so easy

it often takes time to learn the games resources and if ya do not know how to code ofc that will take longer as well

and lets not talk about the time u need to do testing lol

But all that being said it can be allot of fun

you don't need to code to be able to install and use mods

sorry i must have miss understood when he said he tried modding etc

not enuf sleep lol
Do not use Vortex in any game, garbage mod manager period.

There are basically programs that convert vortex collections into MO2 ones so that it download and install them directly to MO2 instead, no need to ever use that ♥♥♥♥ again.

Now i don't recommend you using vortex collections for bethesda games, Wabbajack is a much better choice as it comes with wrye bash patches etc.

yeah because you don't have that many mods, but for everyone else that has dozens or hundreds of mods, a mod installer/manager is essential
