Steam Overlay Not Showing on Windows 11 24H2 Update

Ever since I updated to 24H2 on Windows 11, the steam overlay (gameoverlayui.exe) hasn't been working in Oblivion, every other game in my library seems to work fine it's just this one.

Any suggestions to get it to work again?

Same. I'm going crazy, cause no mod will work properly, because OBSE can't work for the steam version without the steam overlay. Fallout 3 has the exact same problem, BTW. Older Bethesda Games obviously don't like 24H2.
I hope Microsoft will fix this completely fu**ed 24H2-Update.

Waiting for a month right now. I guess one more month and I'll lose any interest in Oblivion...

Hey i have something that works for me. If you are trying to record the game capture, use the xbox app on pc. it works like the overlay, and you are able to record game footage. I just tried it today and it works.

I got so fed up of Windows I just installed Linux Mint, and the steam overlay works fine. F.U Windows.

I thought I had lost my marbles after deciding to replay Oblivion again with OBSE. At least im not alone lol but still this sucks

I'm having the same issue, and with Morrowind also. Overlay works perfectly fine with other games. Glad to know it's not just me 'cause I felt like I was going a bit mad!
