What resolution did you change to? And what resolution is your monitor?
Sorry for the inconvenience!
It worked on my steam deck
Can you try navigating to here for me:
C:\Users\<your_pc_name_here>\AppData\Local\Horror\Saved\SaveGames
There should be a file called usersettings. If you delete that, it will reset your game's configuration.
That should let you try it again.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for reporting back btw, I will look into this bug.
Changing the resolution and turning vsync on worked however changing the fullscreeen options are what breaks it. I'll just leave that alone I guess.
Thank you for he help
When you deleted the usersettings file (when it didn't work the first time), did it prompt you to do the first time set up again when you launched the game?
Thanks again for the assistance.
Okay thank you for the details! I'll see what I can do.
Hi you both!!! Another 4K monitor user here.
First of all, I would like to thank the dev for his fast reply, and also the user for sharing the problem. It has been really useful for me, because I just bought the game recently. So I will also wait for a patch solving this issue, or maybe I will follow your previous piece of advice if I play the game soon.
Thanks a lot again for hearing the community, and best of luck for your future projects!!! :)
Thanks for the kind words :)
I'm curious if the problem occurs for 4K monitors as well. If it does, can you please let me know?
I think just leaving the screen settings as it is shouldn't cause any problems. Otherwise, yeah, following the steps that Crawlspace Hobo did should do the trick.
Hi again examlguy :)
Finally I have been playing like an hour and a half and I can tell you everything is fine for me. I could set the 3840 x 2160 native resolution of my monitor and worked fine.
RTX 3070 with latest drivers (572.83) here.
So 4K resolution display option works fine so far, at least for me. Also the game is really funny, I just sent the survey as well.
Thanks a lot for hearing!!! Best regards.
Hey psychomelic!
Sorry for the inconvenience, I am currently working on a fix addressing some crash issues.
Can you try switching over to developtest beta branch and see if it still crashes?
You can switch to it by:
- Right click Anomaly Exit in your steam games library
- Go to properties
- Go to Betas tab
- Then there should be a dropdown that says "none", change it to developertest
Hopefully it should fix the crashing for you, can you let me know if that works?
