When it comes to getting value for your money, this game barely squeaks by. The graphics are bright, cute, and clean. The game play and controls on the Steam Deck were good and without issue. The animals are so cute and easy to take care of. Most reviews I've read say the relationships in this game are shallow. To elaborate on this, I did not like how the status would go from Acquaintance to Flirting automatically. Pretty early on I just flat out stopped talking to any of the villagers. The marriage in the game was basically nothing. I was married to the white haired fairy guy by the end of the 2nd season in the 1st year. That is insanely fast. I also did not like that every one of the marriage candidates was marked as "Former Sweetheart" after getting married. That was just weird. By the time I finished the main story I was glad it was over. The mine for Chapter 7 was kind of annoying. I did not like how the main story ended as it was extremely quick to end and was anticlimactic. Chapter 8 ended so quickly that I thought the game actually glitched out. I would only buy this game on sale, if at all. Lastly, I'm disappointed to have found out that this game is no longer being developed further. 2 paid DLC's for everyone not on the Switch version is not enough to justify the price of this bare minimum game.

I played Fae Farm with my sister-in-law and her cousin and we encountered so many bugs, ones that made the game pretty much unplayable. We ended up all having to just call it quits and play something else together cause no matter how many times we saved, quit and reloaded, it was just broken. For example, we couldn't go past a level in the mines despite having put in the designated seal on that floor. The door to the next floor wouldn't open no matter what we did. We even attempted to find the button in case somehow it was still there by mining every rock and digging every dirt pile and the button just didn't exist so we were stuck only being able to progress that far which meant we could not progress at all; no tool upgrades, no story progress, nothing. On top of that there was another bug that made us unable to access certain working stations no matter how many times we clicked on them. My sister-in-laws cousin also somehow kept being teleported into the water randomly throughout the game as well as getting stuck in random places. She would be fine and the all of a sudden she would walk past a working station of some kind and then get stuck against or on top of it. The "Help, I'm Stuck" button feature in the Esc menu helped her with this but it didn't make it any less annoying. It was a disaster. I really hope the game developers improve on these bugs soon because I'm really bummed out that we all spent 40$ on a horrible experience.

I love the quests, and being able to play coop. This is a low key, cozy type game that is fun to play for all ages. I really have enjoyed each of the updates as they have come out and I'm excited to see what else the creators have planned for the game. I have played since the game came out and even when you finish all the quests, there are still some objectives that take time to achieve giving it longer play-ability.
The only frustrating thing I found, is when you join another players game you have to start from the beginning for each individual account/user. It makes some sense, but, there have been times when playing with my young kiddos where it would have been beneficial to bring your leveled up character from your own game.
Overall I really love this game and recommend it to others constantly!
